Ala Dagh ('beautiful mountain'), a range in the great tableland of Erzerum, in Turkish Armenia, to the north of the lake of Van. It attains an elevation of about 11,000 feet. On its northern slope rises the Murad, the eastern headstream of the Euphrates.
