Albert is the name of a river of Queensland flowing into the Gulf of Carpentaria; of a county in South Australia, on the Murray; of a county in New Brunswick at the head of the Bay of Fundy; of a district in Cape Colony. The name was formerly given to a district in the north-west of New South Wales. And there is a French town of the name in the Somme department, 20 miles NE. of Amiens, with a population of 6000.
