Almo'ra, the principal town of the British district of Kunuaun (q.v.), North-west Provinces of India, 87 miles north from Bareilly, on the crest of a ridge of the Himalayas, 5337 feet above the sea. It was an important centre in the Gurkha war of 1815. Pop. 8000.
