Apenra'de, a town in the Prussian province of Sleswick-Holstein, at the head of a gulf in the Little Belt, 66 miles NNW. of Kiel by rail. It has a court-house, a naval school, and an excellent harbour, with a considerable amount of shipping. Pop. 6068.
