Aria'no (Arianum), a city of South Italy, in the province of Avellino, beautifully situated 2800 feet above the sea, in one of the most frequented passes of the Apennines, 84 miles NE. of Naples by rail. It has a fine cathedral. Pop. (1881) 12,522.
