Arnsberg, a town of Westphalia, on the Ruhr, 36 miles E. of Hagen by rail. In the orchard below its ruined castle is still pointed out the spot where the famous Vehmgerichte (q.v.), of which it was a main seat, were wont to be held. Pop. 6131.
