Astræ'a, daughter of Zeus and Themis, or of Astræus and Eos (Aurora), was the last of all the goddesses to leave the earth when the golden age had passed away. She took her place in heaven as the constellation Virgo in the zodiac.—Astræa is also the name of one of the Planetoids (q.v.).
