Baëna, a Spanish town 25 miles SSE. of Cordova, with a trade in grain and oil. In the castle here, Pedro the Cruel murdered the Moorish king of Granada with all his train. The castle belonged to Gonsalvo di Cordova. Pop. 11,801.
