Baitul, or BETUL, a town of British India, in the Central Province, 50 miles NE. of Ellichpur. Pop. over 4700. Baitul district, whose headquarters is Badnur, 4 miles off, is a highland region, rich in coal. Area, 3904 sq. m.; pop. (1891) 323,196.
