Banbridge, a town in County Down, Ireland, on a steep slope on the left bank of the Bann, 76 miles N. of Dublin. It is a thriving seat of the linen manufacture in all its stages, from the preparation of the soil for the flax-seed to the finishing of the finest linen. Miles of bleaching-greens exist in the vicinity, and numerous factories along the Bann. Pop. (1841) 3324; (1881) 5609; (1891) 4901.
