Bandajan, a pass over a range of the Himalayas, in Kashmir. It is amidst mountains of gneiss, and is covered with perpetual snow. The summit of the pass is 14,854 feet above the sea, and is in 31^{\circ} 22' N. lat., 78^{\circ} 4' E. long.
