Tautpheus, BARONESS (1807-93), was the daughter of James Montgomery of Seaview, Co. Donegal, and married in 1838 an official at the Bavarian court. She is known as the authoress of a series of novels in English, mainly pictures of South German life, manners, and history, including The Initials (1850), Cyrilla (1853), Quits (1857), and At Odds (1863). Florence Montgomery (q.v.) is her niece.
