Tenedos (Bosdscha Ada), a Turkish island in the Ægean Sea, off the Troad, and 12 miles S. of the entrance to the Dardanelles. It is 8 miles long and 2 to 4 broad, and is rocky, but not unproductive, with 7000 inhabitants. Tenedo is the chief town. Opposite Tenedos is Besika Bay (q.v.).
