Trullan, the name (derived from the domed-roofed hall—Gr. troullos—of the palace in which the Fathers assembled) given to two church councils. The first Trullan Council (680) is the 6th oecumenical council, which condemned monophysitism. The second, called by Justinian in 692, established 102 canons for the discipline of the church, allowing the marriage of priests. This council, also called Quinisext, as being meant to supplement the 5th and 6th oecumenical councils, is not accepted by the Roman Church.
