Valencia, a city of Venezuela, capital of Carabobo state, lies close to the beautiful banks of the Lake of Tacarigua, 34 miles by rail S. of Puerto Cabello. It has a college, a normal and a technical school, several parks, and manufactures of woollens, machinery, and agricultural implements; and there is a railway from the coast. Pop. 38,654.
