Walker, JOHN, an Oxford antiquary, was born in 1770, became fellow of New College, Oxford, and was vicar of Hornechurch in Essex from 1819 till his death in 1831. His works were Curia Oxoniensis; Oxoniæna (4 vols.); Selection of Curious Articles from the Gentleman's Magazine (3 vols. 1809); and Letters Written by Eminent Persons (2 vols. 1813).
