Yoruba, or YARRIBA, a country of Guinea, West Africa, lying to the north-east of Dahomey, and between the British colony of Lagos and the Niger Company's territories. Its area is not perfectly definite; the population, some 2,000,000, are Soudanese Negroes, partly Mohammedised.
