Belgravia

Chambers's Encyclopaedia, Volume 2: Beaugency to Cataract, p. 53

Belgravia, a district in the southern part of the West End of London, bordering on Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace Gardens. The word, now proverbial for birth, wealth, luxury, and fashion, is derived from Belgrave Square, in the centre of that quarter; and has its name from one of the titles of the Duke of Westminster, who owns the whole district. Belgrave is a parish in Leicestershire.
