Beverly, a town of Massachusetts, on an arm of the Atlantic, opposite Salem, with which it is connected by a bridge, and 18 miles NE. of Boston by rail. It has a good harbour, with fisheries, and manufactures shoes. Pop. (1890) 10,821.
