Bidar, a town in the Nizam's Dominions, near the right bank of the Manjira, a tributary of the Godavery, 75 miles NW. of Hyderabad. Formerly a place of importance, it is now remarkable chiefly for its manufactures in a compound metal made of tin, copper, lead, and zinc, and called Biddery ware. Pop. 13,000.
