Bolkhov, a cathedral city of Russia, on the river Nugra, 37 miles N. of Orel. It manufactures leather, gloves, hosiery, and soap, and has an active trade in tallow, hemp, oil, fruit, and vegetables. Pop. (1893) 26,395.
