Brandon, a place of growing importance in Manitoba, Canada, situated on the Canadian Pacific Railway, below the junction of the Assiniboine and Little Saskatchewan rivers, in a prolific wheat-growing district. It was founded in 1881, and in the following year had over 1500 houses. Pop. (1891) 3788.
