Brattleboro, a post-village of Windham county, Vermont, 110 miles S. of Montpelier by rail, on the Connecticut River, which is here crossed by a bridge. Organs, carriages, furniture, and machinery are manufactured, and the town is a centre of the maple-sugar industry. Pop. 6862.
