Braunsberg, a town of East Prussia, on the navigable Passarge, 8 miles from its mouth, and 38 miles SW. of Königsberg by rail. It contains a Catholic seminary and gymnasium, and manufactures machinery, felt, and leather goods. A considerable trade is carried on in yarn, grain, flax, and ship-timber. Pop. 10,851.
