Brockville, a town of Ontario, on the left bank of the St. Lawrence, 125 miles SW. of Montreal. It is on the Grand Trunk and the Brockville and Ottawa railways, and a port of call for steamers on the St. Lawrence. It took its name from Sir Isaac Brock (1769-1812), who fell in the battle of Queenstown. Pop. (1891) 8793.
