Busch, WILHELM, comic artist, was born near Hanover, in 1832, and began in 1859 to draw humorous sketches for the Fliegende Blätter, the series called Max und Moritz appearing in 1860. He subsequently published in book-form Der Heilige Antonius, and a numerous series of witty and satirical sketches with rhyming texts.
