Cagnola, LUIGI, MARQUIS, an Italian architect, was born at Milan in 1762, and died in 1833. A follower of Palladio, he belonged to the revivers of classical architecture. His masterwork is the triumphal Arco della Pace, of white marble, in Milan, commenced in 1807, finished in 1838.
