Cambridge Greensand

Cambridge Greensand, a name given to certain 'coprolite beds' met with in Cambridgeshire, which were at one time supposed to represent the 'Upper Greensand.' The beds in question are now ascertained to occur on the horizon of the base of the Gault Marl. See CRETACEOUS SYSTEM.
