Canary Wine, also known as TENERIFE, is the produce of the Canary Islands, the best known being called Bidogne or Vidonia wine, which is a dry white wine resembling Madeira, but with less body and perfume. It is produced chiefly on the island of Tenerife. The name Canary was formerly applied generally to dry white wines, which were frequently seasoned with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, roasted apples, and eggs.
