Caribbee Bark, or PITON BARK, is the bark of Exostemma caribæum and other species, small West Indian trees of the order Cinchonaceæ, growing also in southern Florida. It was formerly imported as a variety or substitute for cinchona bark, but contains none of its characteristic alkaloids.
