Clifton, a town and port of entry of Ontario, on the Niagara River, about 2 miles below the Falls. Here the Great Western Railway of Canada connects with the New York Central, the trains crossing the river on a noble suspension bridge, 800 feet long and 240 above the water. Pop. 1610.
