Coalbrookdale

Coalbrookdale is a district in Shropshire, extending 8 miles along the river Severn; its coal-field supplies coal and iron as well as limestone, and manufactures iron. The village of Coalbrookdale, which gives it name, is 11 miles SE. of Shrewsbury.
