Coatzacoalco

Coatzacoalco, a river of the isthmus of Tehuantepec in Mexico, rises in the Sierra Madre, and falls into the Gulf of Mexico, 130 miles S.E. of

Vera Cruz. It is navigable for large vessels for 30 miles, and is interesting as part of a route which has been surveyed for an interoceanic canal.
