Coronella

Coronella, a genus of non-venomous snakes in the family Colubridæ, to which the English Ringed Snake (q.v.), Tropidonotus natrix, also belongs. The genus is well represented in dry regions in Europe and North Africa. C. leavis or austriaca is a very common European species between two and three feet in length.
