Cune'ne, a river of Portuguese South Africa, rises on the heights which bound the interior plateau of South Africa, and after a course of 600 miles southward and westward through the province of Mossamedes, reaches the sea 60 miles north of Cape Frio. It is nearly useless for navigation, being shallow and barred by sand-banks.
