Francià (1450-1517), a Bolognese painter whose real name was Francesco Raibolini. Originally a goldsmith, medallist, and artist in niello-work, he became famous as a religious painter, influenced mainly by Perugino and Raphael. See Julia Cartwright, Mantegna and Francià (1881).
