Genuflexion

Genuflexion, the act of bending the knees in worship or adoration. It is of frequent occurrence in the ritual of the Catholic Church: Catholics genuflect passing before the tabernacle where the sacrament is reserved; the priests genuflect repeatedly during mass, &c. See KNEELING.
