Harlamoff, ALEXIS, a Russian artist, born at Saratoff in 1844, studied at St Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, gained several medals, became a member of the Academy in 1869, and soon afterwards settled in Paris. A regular contributor to the Salon, his portraits and pictures of children and young girls, executed with feeling and painstaking care, have rendered him famous. See R.
