Hobson-Jobson, a term given by English soldiers in India to the Moharram festival; being a corruption of the Shīte cry (see SHITES), Ya Husan! Ya Hosain. The name was adopted for the Anglo-Indian glossary by Colonel Yule and Mr Burnell (1886).
