Ideler, CHRISTIAN LÜDWIG, astronomer and chronologist, was born 21st September 1766, near Perleberg, in Prussia, and, after holding various offices, received a professorship at the university of Berlin in 1821. He wrote several valuable works on chronology, and died August 10, 1846.
