Inventory, in England a list of a deceased person's effects made by an executor. In Scotland it is also used in reference to the property of an infant, pupil, or minor whose estate is under the care of a guardian, tutor, curator, or judicial factor. In Scotland it is also used in connection with the various pleadings and deeds and documents produced or used in a suit or action, then called an inventory of process. So as to an inventory of titles—i.e. the titles of an estate shown to a purchaser.
