Jeletz, or ELETZ, a town of Russia, 120 miles by rail ESE. of Orel. It exports large quantities of wheat and flour, and has a great trade in cattle. Its industries include leather, soap, candles, iron goods, lace, and linen. Pop. (1890) 36,250.
