Kaloeca, a town of Hungary, near the left bank of the Danube, 86 miles S. from Budapest by rail. It is the seat of an archbishop (bishop's see from 1000 to 1135), and has a cathedral, an archbishop's palace (with a library), some monasteries, and an observatory. The inhabitants grow flax, wine, &c. Pop. (1881) 15,789; (1891) 18,167.
