Kickie (Freyinetia Banksii), a scandent shrub of the natural order Pandanacee, yielding an edible, aggregated fruit, said to be the finest indigenous fruit of New Zealand. The kickie is found in the northern part of New Zealand. The fruit is a mass of fleshy berries, and the jelly made of it tastes like preserved strawberries.
