Krummacher, FRIEDRICH WILHELM (1796–1868), anti-rationalist theologian, born at Mörsen-Rhine, was latterly chaplain to the Prussian court. Translations of his books on Solomon and Elijah the Tishbite were popular. See his Autobiography (1869), and the Lebenserinnerungen (1889) of his brother, Emil Wilhelm. His father, Fr. Adolf Krummacher (1768–1845), wrote the well-known Parabeln.
