Le Sueur, EUSTACHE, painter, was born in Paris in 1617, and died there in 1655. The Louvre possesses 36 religious pictures by him, and 13 mythological, the former including his great series of 20 paintings illustrating the life of St Bruno (1645-48), and his 'Preaching of St Paul' (1649).
