Leucorrhœa (Gr. leukos, 'white,' and rheō, 'I flow'), popularly called whites, is the name applied to an abnormal mucous or mucopurulent discharge from the female generative organs. It is a prominent symptom in many forms of female disease; and the treatment must be directed to the morbid condition on which it depends. Antiseptic or astringent vaginal douches are generally of use in diminishing the excessive secretion and the annoyance caused by it.
