Lurgan, a thriving town of Ireland, in County Armagh, 20 miles SW. of Belfast by rail. It is but 3 miles south of the shores of Lough Neagh, and the country around is populous and fertile. It has thriving manufactures of cambrics, lawns, damasks, and diapers. Pop. (1891) 11,429.
