Mab

Mab, 'the fairies' midwife,' who delivers men of dreams. Shelley in Queen Mab makes her queen of the fairies—a dignity really belonging to Titania, the wife of Oberon (q.v.). Mab's praises have been sung by Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, Herrick, Drayton, and other English poets.
