Macgillycuddy Reeks, a group of rugged mountains in Ireland, in County Kerry, rise from the western shores of the Lakes of Killarney, and cover an area of 28 sq. m. Carran-Tual, the loftiest peak, not only of the Reeks but in all Ireland, is 3414 feet in height. Caler, the next in altitude, reaches 3200 feet, and there are several others which exceed 2500 feet.
